EM|Path is a not-for-profit social enterprise that uses a range of people-centred co-production and engagement techniques to support sustainable community development and environmental protection.

We work across Europe with organisations and groups to help them develop sustainable and inclusive projects, design outputs, conflict resolution and team-building.

We develop innovative, grounded mixed methodologies that have grown from our combined expertise in anthropology, architecture and urban design, public health policy, humanist psychology, sustainable resource management, adaptive governance, arts and environmental justice.

Our mixed method tools and outputs include embodied reflection; creative map making; co-creating the narrative of communities and places; and building collective vision-making through written and visual media.

We offer a range of services with the aim to help communities and stakeholders co-create meaningful connections through:

EM | otional Mapping – understanding the emotional landscape (past, present and future) of places, spaces and people;

EM | pathetic connections – making meaning, together, across time and space;

EM | bodied Reflections – using embodied experiences (i.e senses) to make sense of the world; and reconnect with the environment and each other

EM | powering communities – engaging with communities to co-create and implement new initiatives.

We tailor our offer to the specific context and needs of each project, helping people co-create meaningful visions and build trusting relationships that provide the essential foundations for spatial, institutional and local development transformations that respect social and environmental justice.

We are headquartered in Dublin, Ireland and have an office in London, UK.
